Fitzy's Lounge is the latest endeavor for John Fitzpatrick, who opened and elevated the bars at Sopra and Mano a Mano among others.  "Too often the bar within a restaurant gets subjugated and given second class status", said "Fitzy", who spent eight years as comedian David Brenners VP of Manhattan Club Operations followed by the last six years on the Avenue in Delray.  "That will never happen at Fitzy's.  The bar will be raised and the bar clientele will rule," he said. 

Joining "the other Fitzy" is his main inspiration and wife Marit Fitzpatrick, who has applied her New York City design background to pull off an improbable, dynamic fusion of Manhattan style industrial chic with a laid back, hip South Florida feel.

S+D Architechs of Delray created and executed an extraordinary 47 foot illuminated bar on a radius, accented with amazing periperals to develop a lounge lay-out destined to grace the pages of Architectural and Design Magazines.  Local industry leader Castle Builders adds years of high profile accomplishment to the project.

Symon James joins the team as a managing owner, with 15 years of business and industry savvy from both Manhattan and his native London.  Well respected and popular local bar manager Riccardo Colucci owns a piece of the action and contributes his own special Australian/Delraynian personality as well as top shelf bar skills to round out the managing roster.  The rest of the staff is a relative "whos who" of Delray bartenders, featuring some surprise celebrity guests.
